Welcome to the Parents Council page!

WHO: We are a group of volunteers who help build a culture and community for our school through fun, enriching events. We also help bridge the gap of communication between the parents, faculty/staff, administration, and Friends of Green Valley Charter (GVC’s fundraising group).

WHY: In the Waldorf approach we find the community is an integral part of supporting and uplifting our children. We are all a part of the same journey! Connecting with each other allows us to experience more fulfillment, understanding, enlightenment, encouragement and support for ourselves and our children.

WHEN: Please refer to the calendar tab above for all tentative PC events. We will notify parents via email if any changes occur and adjust them on the website as soon as possible. These are mostly free events and donations of time, money, supplies, or personal expertise are warmly welcomed and greatly appreciated.

WHAT NOW: Join the Parents Council today! We warmly welcome you to enjoy the camaraderie and fun in making a difference at Green Valley! We meet the second Thursday of every month during the school year from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. in the 4th Grade classroom. Immediately following the meeting, we host a Parent Enrichment talk to help guide parents to a better understanding of their child(ren)’s curriculum and to encourage them to bring the learning home as well. Childcare is provided by adult volunteers in the 2nd Grade classroom for every meeting.

QUESTIONS: Call, text, or email Kelly Gregg, PC Chair at (702) 491-3121 or kelly_mance@hotmail.com.

Help us understand how you can best help our school by filling out a volunteer form and returning it to the the PC folder in the GVC campus office.
